In Germany in the middle of the 30-th years of XX century much attention was paid to design a standard military truck with a Diesel engine. The German engineers got a success in solving this tusk and a new truck named Einheits-Diesel was put to production at 7 enterprices simultaneously. The car had a diesel engine with a power of 80 hp, metal construction and full drive of all wheels. After beginning of WWII the Wehrmacht was forced to abandon the issue of Einheits-Diesel in favor of more cheapest trucks. There were issued about 12000 trucks at MAN, Henschel, FAUN, Magirus, Bussing-NAG, Borgward and Krupp concerns.
