YAG-6 Soviet Army Truck

Yaroslavl State Automobile Plant (YAGAZ) started the production program in the 30s of the 20th century. In 1936 the plant started producing a five-ton truck YaG-6. YaG-6 was the most widely spread five-ton truck in the Red Army, the production of which continued after the start of the Great Patriotic War. ZIS-5 engine was installed in YaG-6, but 15 YaG -6A had more powerful ZIS-16 engines. In the Red Army YaG-6 was used as a prime mover for heavy guns, and (as the base) - for a variety of special-purpose vehicles. 6 765 YaG-6 and 15 vehicles of YaG-6A were produced.
